We must continue to learn about our past and strive to shape a better future for our families. Our ancestors sacrificed too much for us to let go of our heritage. I challenge each person at this reunion to ask themselves: Do you know the oldest elder in the Pridgen family? Do you know the youngest Pridgen in our family? Do you know who Thomas Pridgen was? It is imperative that we understand our identity and heritage. I love you, Pridgen Family.
